It is therefore crucial to think about areas where crops could be grown to meet this future demand and support networks who aim to develop biomass in cross-border areas.
What is the New-C-Land project all about?
The partners’ work is broken down into 4 modules.
Module 1
Inventory of cross-border marginal land
Module 2
Development of a decision support tool in order to help to select the most optimal use of the identified marginal land according to the social, environmental and economic context
Module 3
Presenting the benefits of plant biomass to marginal land managers and biobased businesses and interconnecting these two parties
Module 4
Act as a catalyst for knowledge to advise and implement projects on marginal land
